Tony Britt Spotter Charts is a small, niche business that serves sports media exclusively. We prepare spotter charts/spotting boards for broadcasters. Our products serve as a cheat sheet that announcers rely on heavily for their preparation & in-game information These Washington Post and Los Angeles Times articles may help you better understand the important role we play. Here's a recent example of our work.
We began with one ESPN American football announcer (Pam Ward) in 2005. We automated many tasks in 2012 & incorporated in 2013. Today we deliver 200+ charts weekly for NFL, CFB & HS games to 300+ broadcasters w/ ABC, CBS, ESPN, FOX, NBC, NFL Network, most regional & national syndicated, plus 13 NFL and 56 CFB team broadcasters. We also produce charts for basketball, cycling, ice hockey, lacrosse, rugby, soccer, softball, volleyball & wrestling.
Our Team includes sports media veterans, graduate assistants from sports management programs & recent graduates. We are based in Harrisonburg, VA., but all work is remote & our team members live in 20 states.
We stand against the status quo of systemic injustice – i.e., we stand with people who are disproportionately targeted in banking & business, class & culture, education & economics by people & institutions; e.g., we believe diversity makes the world a better place.
